Butter Bundt Cake
3 c. cake flour
2 c. sugar
1 t. salt
1 t. baking powder
1/2 t. baking soda
1 c. buttemilk
1 c. butter, softened
2 t. vanilla
1 t. almond extract
4 eggs
Buttery Glaze
1/3 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 T. vanilla
Combine dry ingredients in Mixer bowl. Add buttermilk, butter, flavorings and eggs. Mix well, but don't over mix or cake will be tough. (Should take about 3 1/2 minutes.)
Pour batter into well sprayed and floured bundt pan. (spraying is not enough)
Bake at 325 for 60 to 75 minutes. Pierce the hot cake with a fork and slowly pour half the glaze over the cake. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes then dump out onto a cake plate. Pour remaining glaze over the cake. Serve with fruit or ice cream. Refrigerate leftovers.
GLAZE.....Heat butter and sugar in saucepan over med. heat to a slow boil. Stir in vanilla. Cool slightly.
